Condition-based interior restoration

Carpet Shampoo, Spill Extraction & Interior Floor Restoration

A routine carpet shampoo is not the same job as extracting a beverage, winter salt or water that has travelled into underlay. Rosie Dazzlers separates maintenance cleaning from deeper extraction and restoration-level work so the service, drying plan and price match the actual condition.

Three very different interior-floor jobs

Maintenance shampoo / reachable staining

Small $99 · Mid $129 · Oversize $159
About 90–120 min

Vacuum, appropriate spot treatment, carpet/mat agitation and extraction for normal soil and reachable staining.

Heavy salt / beverage / repeated extraction

From $129–$159+
About 2–4 hr

Deeper winter salt, coffee/pop spills, heavy traffic lanes or soil that needs repeated treatment, agitation, rinse and extraction cycles.

Saturated floor / under-carpet restoration

From $299+ / inspection quote
Half day to full day+

Liquid has migrated below the carpet or underlay. The job can require moisture-path inspection, safe trim/seat access, lifted carpet edges where practical, repeated extraction and controlled drying.

Starting prices are CAD before HST. Severe conditions are quote-led. A photo estimate can establish a likely range, but hidden moisture, electrical components and under-carpet contamination may only become clear during inspection.

Routine shampoo vs. restoration

  • Routine cleaning: soil and stains are primarily in reachable carpet fibres and mats.
  • Deep extraction: salt, beverages or heavy soil need repeated chemistry, agitation and extraction cycles.
  • Water-intrusion recovery: liquid may be below the carpet, so the work shifts from appearance alone to extraction, access, drying and risk inspection.

That distinction is why a severe spill should not be booked as if it were a simple carpet shampoo.

Risks we look for

  • moisture trapped in carpet or underlay
  • recurring odour from a spill or unresolved leak
  • surface corrosion risk on floor metal or hardware
  • visible biological growth or contaminated water that is outside normal detailing scope
  • seat wiring, airbag/occupancy sensors or modules that make disassembly unsafe or inappropriate

How the process usually works

  1. Identify what happened: stain/soil, spill, water entry, approximate volume and timing.
  2. Vacuum dry debris and inspect the affected area before adding moisture.
  3. Use material-appropriate pre-treatment and agitation rather than one universal chemical.
  4. Extract and reassess. Heavy conditions can need multiple treatment/rinse passes.
  5. If liquid appears to have travelled below the carpet, pause and confirm whether safe trim/seat access or carpet lifting is justified.
  6. Continue extraction and drying only within the agreed scope, then explain remaining moisture/risk and any follow-up inspection needed.

Seat removal and carpet lifting

These steps are never automatic upsells. They are considered only when needed and safe.

  • Airbags, occupancy sensors and seat wiring must be protected.
  • Fasteners and mounting points must be suitable for safe removal/reinstallation.
  • Carpet may be lifted or accessed at an edge when practical to reach wet underlay.
  • If the vehicle needs mechanical, electrical, body/leak repair or hazardous-contamination work, we stop at the detailing boundary and explain the next step.

What’s included

  • condition review and confirmation of the accepted cleaning or restoration tier
  • vacuuming, material-appropriate pre-treatment, agitation and extraction within the agreed floor area
  • repeat extraction/rinse passes when they are part of the confirmed tier
  • drying guidance and a handoff explaining remaining moisture, staining or source-of-leak concerns

What is not automatically included

  • seat or trim removal, carpet lifting, underlay access or repeated full-day drying unless the expanded scope is approved
  • repair of an active body, drain, HVAC or mechanical leak that is allowing water to return
  • electrical diagnosis, airbag/occupancy-system work, structural corrosion repair or parts replacement
  • hazardous contamination or biological-growth remediation outside normal detailing scope

Before we arrive

  • Tell us what spilled or where water entered, roughly how much and when it happened.
  • Send wide and close photos for standing water, severe salt, large beverage spills or repeated odour.
  • Remove valuables and loose items that block the affected floor area.
  • Provide a safe/private work area. Rosie brings standard detailing water and power; unusual access, parking, weather or local runoff constraints should be noted before dispatch.

Drying and follow-up

  • The interior must be allowed to dry fully after extraction.
  • Trapped moisture can contribute to persistent odour, biological growth and corrosion.
  • If an active leak caused the wet floor, the leak must be repaired or moisture can return.
  • A saturated job can require a full day or more and may need follow-up drying or inspection rather than a rushed same-day cosmetic finish.

When we pause and re-quote

We confirm expanded work before proceeding when the job crosses the original condition tier.

  • liquid has reached underlay or hidden cavities
  • safe access would require seat/trim removal or carpet lifting
  • repeated extraction/drying cycles are needed
  • an unresolved leak, electrical issue, significant corrosion or hazardous contamination is discovered
  • the requested result is not realistic within normal mobile detailing

Real Rosie proof

Evidence should show the actual condition

Photo Studio can replace these placeholders with customer-approved before/after work: salt/traffic lanes, extraction passes, under-carpet inspection/drying setup where appropriate, and a final dry floor from the same useful angle.

Frequently asked questions

Is every carpet shampoo a $299 job?

No. Routine carpet shampoo currently starts at $99 small, $129 mid-size and $159 oversize. The $299+ path is for saturated or under-carpet restoration conditions that need much more inspection, extraction and drying work.

Can you remove seats to reach a spill?

Only when necessary and safe. Modern seats can contain airbags, occupancy sensors, wiring and modules, so removal is never assumed from a photo alone.

What if the carpet keeps getting wet?

Extraction cannot solve an active leak. If water is entering through a body, drain, HVAC or mechanical problem, that source needs repair or the condition can return.

Should I send photos first?

Yes for standing water, large spills, severe winter salt, repeated odour or any condition where liquid may have reached below the carpet. Photos help us choose the safest starting path.

Not sure whether it is cleaning or restoration?

Start with photos. We can route a normal floor clean into Quick Book or keep a severe spill on the inspection/quote path before committing a full day.
